The cast film

Futerro PLA is ideally suited to use on conventional extruders for the transformation of consumer polymers, such as PE, PP, PS and PET. Calendering and uniaxial drawing in the machine direction of Futerro PLA do not bring any problem. Conventional equipment can be used to produce sheets, foamed sheets and cast film.

The films and sheets produced have the following properties: • Transparency and gloss • Heat-sealing • Shrink properties • Easy printability • Aroma and taste barriers

The films produced by this type of transformation method can be used to make bottle or container labels, flexible packaging for fresh produce or lamination films.

The sheets can be thermoformed to obtain glasses, recipients or rigid packaging for fresh products.
