Futerro PLA can be easily processed on a conventional extruder used to spin polyolefins. Futerro PLA fibre drawing does not bring any problem. It has been possible to produce bulk fibre.
Futerro PLA-based fibres are another way of manufacturing simple t-shirts, sweatshirts and trousers.
Futerro PLA has comparable performances than traditional polymers (PET, nylon 6, acrylic, PP) and has been specially studied for applications where a low shrinkage is needed. Futerro PLA can also be used in combination with many other materials, including cotton and wool. |
