Injection stretch blown moulding (ISBM)
Futerro PLA-based preforms have been injected without any problem on conventional injection moulders. Preforms can be blown successfully on conventional equipment usually used for PET.
Bottles and containers of one litre and half or less can be obtained, with a very attractive appearance (gloss and transparency) and offering a very good compromise in terms of mechanical properties.
A SiOx-type treatment can be performed to improve the gas barrier properties of these bottles.
