Futerro S.A., a Belgian company specialised in the production of lactic acid, lactide (two platform molecules) and PLA (polylactic acid) announces the appointment of Jean-Christophe Lesguillier as Chief Operating Officer of its French subsidiary, Futerro France S.A.S. This appointment comes as the company recently launched the engineering phase and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for its upcoming European biorefinery, to be located in Saint-Jean-de-Folleville, between Rouen and Le Havre (76), France. In his new position, Jean-Christophe Lesguillier will play a key role in developing the organizational structure for project construction and operations from the ground up.

With 29 years of international experience in the chemical industry and circular economy, Jean-Christophe Lesguillier is a seasoned executive and global leader in manufacturing and large capital project management through multiple functional and geographic assignments and experiences. Prior to joining Futerro France S.A.S., he was Vice President Projects and Operations at Plastic Energy, where he applied expertise in operational excellence, business development and large capital project management, which he had developed during his earlier experience at ExxonMobil. Jean-Christophe Lesguillier is a French chemical engineer and holds a Master of Science from the University of New Brunswick (CA).
