Futero is pleased to share that our Chief Commercial Officer, Benoit Lecouvet, has been representing Futerro at the International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy 2025(IFIB).
His presentation, “Scale up of bioplastic recycling technologies: Implementation of the first mechanical and chemical recycling unit of PLA in Europe”, highlighted a milestone on our journey to make Polylactic Acid (PLA) truly circular.
At Futerro, we are working to establish Europe’s first integrated PLA biorefinery in France. A central part of this project is the installation of both mechanical and chemical recycling units, powered by our patented Loopla™ technology, which allows PLA to be broken back down into lactic acid and re-created as virgin-quality material — infinitely recyclable.
