On the 21st of January 2026, we had the pleasure and honor of welcoming a delegation from the European Commission, with representatives from the Directorate‑General for Environment and the Directorate‑General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, to our R&D Campus in Brussels, together with GALACTIC and NOOSA® 🔬
🌱 Having three companies active in different areas of the bioeconomy under the same roof offered a great opportunity to showcase what the industrial bioeconomy really looks like with concrete, real-world applications.
At Futerro, we were proud to showcase PLA (polylactic acid), a biobased, industrially compostable and recyclable polymer used across a wide range of applications, from packaging and textiles to 3D printing and more.
We would like to thank all the people present, including the representatives of European Bioplastics and European Biosolutions Coalition for contributing to the exchange.
We hope this visit provided valuable insights and contributed to a better understanding of how the European industrial bioeconomy can support a more sustainable, competitive and autonomous future.
